Bradford, Cynthia E. (4 OCT 1851 - 20 Mar 1907)

Mrs. Cynthia Bradford, wife of Chas. M. Bradford, died March 20, 1907, after a long illness. Her death was due to Bright's disease and nervous prostration. Mrs. Bradford, whose maiden name was Eastman, was born in the state of New York, Oct. 4, 1851. She came to Plymouth, Sheboygan Co., Wis., when a child. On Oct. 29, 1871, she was married to C.M. Bradford, and in 1877 they came to Clark County, making their home in the town of Sherman, until Mr. Bradford was elected County Treasurer, when they moved to Neillsville. To them were born five children, only one of whom, Wm. Bradford of this city, survives; one child died in Sheboygan County, and three are buried in the town of Sherman. Mrs. Bradford was a woman of a deeply religious nature. She joined the Episcopal Church in Neillsville in 1900, and remained a consistent member. For a long time previous to her death her health had been frail and her nervous temperament made her a constant sufferer. Medical treatment and the kind and constant care of her husband and son, did much to alleviate her, but could not stay the disease. The funeral took place at the home Mar. 21 at 2 p.m., Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating.
