The Greenwood Gleaner 2- Feb-1900, listed four churches: the Methodist Episcopal (Rev. W. E. Kloster), Presbyterian, German Reformed (Rev. J. Schmalz) and the Baptist (Rev. R. E. House).

Rev. W. S. Boardman (of the Baptist Church) left Wednesday morning for his old home in Connecticut, where his parents reside. He May remain in the east.
