Nelson, Gustave (24 Jun 1860 - 18 Mar 1910)

Gustave Nelson died at his home in Washburn, Clark County March 18, 1910, death being due to paralysis. He was born in Sweden Jun 24, 1860; he came to this country about 30 years ago and two years later came to Clark County. He was married at Black River Falls to Margaret Anderson, who with their seven children survive him. He was a very industrious hard-working man until the fatal disease which finally ended his life settled upon him a few years ago. He developed a fine farm, and by his honesty and uprightness as a man won respect of all who knew him.

The funeral was held at Shortville Church Wednesday, Rev. N.F. Chapman officiating, burial taking place in the Neillsville Cemetery. The local Odd Fellow Lodge, of which deceased was a member, joined the procession here.

The daughters Rose and Mabel, who are in Minneapolis and the son Albion, who is located in Washington, came home for the funeral.
