Mrs. Frances Poate, mother of Will Poate of this city (Neillsville, Clark County), died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Jas. Busbey in St. Paul April 4, 1910. She was born in Stafforsdshire, Wolverhampton, England, Jan. 7, 1819, and was therefore 91 years of age. She was married in England and came to America with her husband and children in 1856. She made her home with her son here for some time and in a quiet way made many friends among those who knew her. She leaves seven children. The remains will be brought from St. Paul today, Thursday, burial taking place after the arrival of the 1:30 p.m. train, Rev. W.P. Burrows officiating.
