Weeks, Amelia (18 May 1855 - 2 Nov 1911)

The sudden death of Mrs. Robert Weeks, which took place Thursday morning, Nov. 2, 1911, brought a shock to this entire community and sincere grief to all who knew her. Her death was due to heart disease. While the disease was not of recent origin and had previously caused her difficulty, she had only the nigh before been about as usual, had called on the neighbors and was in the best of spirits.

Mrs. Weeks, whose maiden name was Amelia Olson, was born in Dane Co., May 18, 1855. She was the daughter of Thomas and Aletta Olson, who with their family later moved to Jackson Co. She was married to Robert Weeks at Neillsville, Clark County, Nov. 4, 1879.

Deceased was a good wife and mother, and in addition a kind and charitable neighbor, always helpful to those in sickness and distress, ever thoughtful of those in need. She leaves besides her husband, one son, Dr. F.T. Weeks, also her mother, three brothers, Henry, John and Albert, and one sister, Gusta, all of who live at Taylor, Wis.

Funeral services were held at the home Saturday, Rev. Prucia officiating. The remains were taken to Taylor for burial beside her father, funeral services being held there Tuesday.

The family wishes to thank all of those who gave so freely of their sympathy and kindly help.
