Goldamer, Ernest (1881 - 13 Dec 1913)

This community was greatly shocked to learn that Ernest Goldamer drowned Saturday night at Buoy, Minn. Full details have not reached us, but the report is that he and four other men went from camp where he was foreman, to town with a team, going around the lake. Returning in the night they attempted to drive across on the ice, and the team and all five men were drowned. His brother Charlie left at once to bring home the body. They are expected tonight, Wednesday.

Ernest was the son of Julius Goldamer, deceased and wife of Pine Valley, Clark County. He was 32 years of age, a young man of energy and ability and possessed great physical strength. He leaves an aged mother, five brothers, Louis C., Alvin R. of Abbotsford, Will, Chas. and Paul of Neillsville; and a sister Martha at home. The deepest sympathy is felt for the bereaved family.
