Mrs. Ira Sherwin

Burial services for Mrs. Ira T. Sherwin, whose sudden death occurred Sunday night, Feb. 13th, at the Krohn hospital in Black River Falls, were held at the Methodist church in the village at 2:00 o'clock last Friday afternoon, following a service at 1:00 o'clock at the funeral chapel at Black River Falls. Rev. Floyd A. Fahlgren, pastor of the Methodist church at Neillsville, officiated at the services, and in each place many friends gathered for the last rites.

The Rev. Fahlgren used as a text for his sermon here a part of the first verse of the twentieth chapter of II Kings: "Set thine house in order; for thou shalt die." The musical selections were by Mmes. Smith and Waters and Miss Simons: "Abide With Me," and "Safe in the Arms of Jesus." Pallbearers were H. G. Iffland, J. A. Johnson, W. E. Waters, of this village, and Fred Glanders, Saml. Thompson, Everett Drecktrah, of Black River Falls. Interment was in Mentor cemetery.

Mrs. Sherwin attained the age of 53 years, 9 months, and 11 days.
