Kelly, Marion A. (Marriage 8 Feb. 1922)

News has been received here of a very quiet but pretty military wedding which took place on Feb. 8, at eleven o’clock at Camp Berry at the U.S. Naval Training Station at the Great Lakes, Ill., when Marion A. Kelly became the bride of C.P.O. Dowling of the U.S. Naval Training Station.

The ceremony was performed by Chaplain McGuire of the U.S. Navy in the presence of a few friends of both parties. The attending couple were Oliver B. Bush of the U.S. Navy and June V. Eldridge of Milwaukee.

Mr. Dowling has been in the service sixteen years the 24th day of May and he has been around the world several times, but now has charge of a number of Navy prisoners at the Great Lakes Training Station. He was born and raised in New York City and attended the St. Quintin academy until his enlistment in the U.S. Navy.

The bride is well known here. She is the daughter of Pat Kelly but owing to her mothers’ death, made her home with her uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Kelly. She attended Neillsville schools and has many friends among our young folks. She has been employed in Milwaukee for some time past.
