At the meeting of the stockholders of the Loyal Telephone Exchange Company on last Tuesday evening at the village hall the earnings of the company was declared to be $869.06 for a little over a year. The officers deserve a great deal of credit for placing the telephone system on a paying basis.

The sale of stock has been discontinued as it is thought to be worth more than $10 a share now, and the stockholders decided to discontinue putting more telephones outside of the village limits and to grant all applications for telephones inside the village limits.

The old officers were re-elected by acclamation as follows: C. M. Taylor, President; M. M. Weaver, Secretary; Harry Haslett, Treasurer; H. Kilburn and J. M. Philpott, Directors.
