Wibben, Emma (3 Mar 1887 – 25 Dec 1972)

Emma Wibben, 85, Abbotsford, died at 8:30 p.m. Monday, December 25, 1972 at the Bethel Convalescent Home, Arpin.

Funeral services were held at 1:30 p.m. December 28 at the Christ Lutheran Church. The Rev. Kenneth L. Loehrke officiated, with burial in the Abbotsford Cemetery.

Emma Wibben the former Emma Guhl, was born March 3, 1887 at Plymouth, Wisconsin. She was married on June 18, 1908 to Nicholas Wibben of Sheboygan Falls. Mr. Wibben died March 27, 1962.

After their marriage, the couple came to the town of Holton and operated a farm there for 53 years.

She was a member of the Christ Lutheran Church.

Survivors include five daughters, Mrs. Catherine Bahr, Wausau; Mrs. Alice Dunbar, Marshfield; Mrs. Anita Bielke; Mrs. Ruth Dorothy Tischendorf, Colby, and Mrs. Ruth Remus, Stratford; two sons, Robert, Colby, and Lyle, Shreveport, Louisiana. 18 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren also survive.

Two sisters, Dorothy Wilcox and Viola Ladwig, and two brothers, Roland Guhl all of Plymouth, and Charles Guhl of Monroe, also survive.

She was preceded in death by her husband and one son, one sister and one brother.

Pallbearers were Emil Remus, Carl Remus, Edward Bahr, Duwayne Wibben, Donald Wibben, Norman Dunbar Jr. and Jim Bielke.
