Wilcox, Wisconsin June 14, 1893

Children's day exercises were a grand success.

A silver wedding took place at N. Allen's Tuesday evening.

S.W. Bolton's colt ran away last Friday, breaking his cart up badly; the cold went home without a scratch.

The L.O.G.T's will give a grand Fourth of July celebration with a beautiful display of fire works in the evening. Everybody is invited. York has the best always.

The League had an ice cream (social) at W. Graves Thursday evening.

How Tom Hommel would laugh if he should come up here and ride over some of the roads sodded over by road graders. If you come Tom, be sure to bring a stout buggy.

William Rowe has gone to Chili to work, which is the eleventh man from York Center to work at that place.

Thanks for the work Steve -- I'm a Hommel descendant. Apparently my grandfather's brother, John William Hommel, was known by the alias 'Tom' --it pops up every now and then!  Pat
