Ramona Struensee

Ramona Struensee, age 58, died Saturday, March 20, at the Wausau Hospital in Wausau.

Ramona was born May 13, 1945 the daughter of Alfred and ]ohannah (Streich) Peterson in Black River Falls. Ramona attended and graduated from Black River Falls High School and then attended college at the University of Wisconsin - Whitewater. Ramona married Warren Struensee and lived in the Neillsville area. She worked for a short time as a baker at Fannies Restaurant. Ramona and Warren later divorced, and she left Neillsville in the early 1980's, eventually moving to Wausau. She was an active volunteer in the Wausau area and she enjoyed sewing, crocheting, cooking and baking.

She is survived by two sons; Joey (Rhiannon) Struensee and Steven (Amanda) Struensee, both of Neillsville; and three grandchildren, Cody, Jennifer and Cade, all of Neillsville. Ramona is also survived by a brother, Alfred (Hazel) Peterson, of Texas and a half brother, Red Peterson of Wis.

Ramona was preceded in death by an infant son, Scott.

Funeral services for Ramona were held Wednesday, March 24, at the Calvary Lutheran Church in Neillsville. Pastor James Gordon officiated, Music was provided by Eileen Zank, organist. Interment was in the Neillsville City Cemetery.

Casket bearers were: Alfred Peterson, Joey Struensee, Steven Struensee, and Warren Struensee.

The Gesche Funeral Home assisted Ramona's family with funeral arrangements.
