Sommerfeld, Emil (14 July 1889 - ? April 1923)

Mr. Sommerfeld was struck on the neck and killed almost instantly, but fell clear from the trees and his body was not mangled in any way. Mr. Drescher received a glancing blow on the shoulder and arm, but was not seriously injured.

Deceased was born in Russian Poland, July 14, 1889. In 1913 he started out for America and came directly to Neillsville. He bought eighty acres of land near by and was gradually improving it and had it nearly paid for. He was much like by every one in the community, because of his industry, honesty and general upright character. He had no known relatives in this country.
