News From The Boys In Camp

July 7, 1944

Dear Verona; Must write you a few lines. I am back some where in England listed as a survivor. My small boat was wrecked in that storm and lost some of our gear. The Navy replaces some of it. They have loud speakers all over the place here so we hear music all day. The Chaplain arranges picnics for we fellows, have movies in the afternoon and evening. So we are living all rite if we don't have to go on a working party. I am entitled to wear four bars, one in the American Theatre of War the European Theatre with a star in it. Also combat and the Atlantic Fleet. I hope I get some mail soon. I ought to have a sack full. I'll bet you get to see some good news reels. Think I'll go and see a movie tonight. This is about all. So write soon.
