To this union were born two children, Irving at Neillsville and Blanche, Mrs. Frank Lynch of Waukesha. His wife passed away March 1, 1925, also at the home of their daughter at Waukesha.
Mr. Ayers was an honest and upright citizen, a kind and loving husband and father. He served the city as street commissioner for five successive years. He will be greatly missed by a large circle of friends. He leaves to mourn his death, his aged mother, his two children, two sisters and brothers: Charlie of Minneapolis; Ernest of Lynn; Mrs. Mary Beaulieu and Mrs. Harriet Brillion; also four grandchildren.
The funeral was held from the home of his sister, Mrs. Beaulieu, Tuesday, April 19, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating. He was laid to rest beside his wife in the Neillsville Cemetery.
Those from out of town who were here to attend the funeral were Mr. and Mrs. Frank Lynch of Waukesha.
