Vera Lavandowska

Vera L. Lavandowska, 93, Titusville, Fla., died Tuesday, March 23, 2004, at Vista Manor Nursing Home, Titusville, Fla. Funeral services were held at 11 a.m., Saturday, March 27, at Cuddie Funeral Home, Loyal. Hilmer Eckstrom officiated. Burial was in the Loyal Cemetery.

Vera Louise Rollins was born June 3, 1910, near Chili, to John and Clara (nee Schultz) Rollins. She was raised on the family farm and educated in Neillsville. She married Helmuth Lavandowska on June 30, 1927, in Michigan. They farmed in the town of Weston for several years and then sold Christmas trees for 42 years and also whitewashed barns. In 1971, they moved to Holcombe, where they resided until moving to Florida in 1979. Her husband died on March 17, 1991. She continued to reside in Florida until the time of her death. Her interests included crocheting afghans and lap throws, which she donated to the Alzheimer's Foundation, and making crafts.

Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Mead, Titusville, Fla.; six grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; three great-great-grandchildren; nieces; nephews; other relatives; and friends.
