Bodwin, Joseph (18 Oct. 1857 - 18 March 1926)

At the Lord’s will, Mr. Joseph Bodwin passed away Thursday morning, March 18th, at the age of 68 years and 5 months, after a long and sever illness.

Joseph Bodwin was born Oct. 18, 1857, at Mishicott, Manitowoc Co., working at stave-making in summer and in the pine woods in winter. He then bought the 80 acre farm in Weston, where he made his home. On April 22nd, 1888 he was married to Bertha Mund.

In the death of Mr. Bodwin, Weston loses one of its oldest citizens, a man ever ready to give help and show kindness to every body, and a husband and father who loved his home ad family as his life.

He leaves to mourn his death his sorrowing wife, two children Tressie, Mrs. Ed. *Kleckman, living in the town of Seif, and Benjamin, on the home farm in Weston; three brothers, living in Chippewa Falls and Manitowoc; 4 sisters, and five grandchildren, Irene and Hubert Bodwin, Forest, Myrtle and Eline *Klueckman and a host of friends. Funeral services were held at that home, Rev. Parisius officiating.

The peace of God which passes all understanding, be with us all.

*Note the two different spellings. Not sure which one is correct, so left it the way it was.
