Hainz, Laura (7 March 1896 - 15 May 1926)

Miss Laura Hainz who was severely burned at the Thos. Kelly home about a month ago, died at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Marshfield, Saturday May 15. She has been in the hospital about three weeks and for the first two seemed to be doing well, when pneumonia set in, which proved fatal. She suffered but little and was conscious until the last.

Laura Hainz, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. David Hainz, was born at Jefferson, Wisconsin, March 7, 1896. She attended school there and came to Clark County with her parents in 1904 and lived with them on the farm home ever since, except when she was working elsewhere. She has helped from time to time in the Kelly home for 6 or 7 years, and was very faithful and conscientious in her work. Her untimely death has brought great sorrow to her home and to all who knew her.

She leaves to mourn her death 6 brothers and 2 sisters. The funeral was held Tuesday forenoon at St. Mary’s Catholic church, Rev. Peter Weber, officiating.
