Charles, Lyman (21 Jun 1849 – 3 Jul 1907)

At the home of Lyman Charles near Neillsville a social gathering was in progress when a tornado struck the house. The host was caught beneath the ruins of his house and fatally injuring, dying while being taken to a hospital. One of his guests also was probably fatally injured, while several others were seriously hurt.

Mr. Charles was born in Maine and never married. He is buried in the Neillsville City Cemetery.
