Rol, Neeltji Maryke "Elma" (17 September 1983)

Married September 17 at Trinity Lutheran Church were Miss Neeltji Maryke "Elma" Rol, Route 1, Loyal, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Pieter Roll of Southfield, Michigan, and Gary Lee Luchterhand, Route 2, Spencer, son of Mrs. LaVada Luchterhand, Route 2, Spencer, and the late Gerald Luchterhand.

Officiating at the nuptials were the pastor, the Rev. Joseph Kraly, and the Rev. Bruno Schlachtenhaufen, former pastor. The bride was given in marriage by her father during nuptials for which Ron Gluch was organist and Debbie and Doug Hyde were singers.

The bride had a white taffeta and venise lace Queen Anne gown with chapel train and a ring of baby's breath in her hair. In her bouquet were yellow roses and baby's breath.

Miss Renee Luchterhand of Edgar was maid of honor and bridesmaids were Alida Rol of Portland, Oregon, and Mrs. Paula Brey, Spencer. They had teal taffeta gowns and floral arrangements.

Becky and Eric Brey were miniature bride and bridegroom respectively.

Mike King of Hinsdale, Massachusetts was best man. Groomsmen were Daniel Scheckleman, Loyal, and Duane Brey, Route 2, Spencer, and ushering were Pieter Rol Jr. and Tracy Todd.

The reception, dinner and dance were at the Loyal American Legion Hall. The newlyweds are living near Loyal.

The bride graduated in 1980 from Michigan State University's College of Veterinary Medicine and is a veterinarian. Her Husband, who farms, graduated in 1972 from Loyal High School.
