Bakkon, Helen (19 JUN 1929)

(Humbird Enterprise)

Cards were received here last week announcing the marriage of Alton V. Stallard, oldest son of Mr. and Mrs. B. J. Stallard, to Miss Helen Bakkon of Lake Geneva, Wis. The nuptial ceremony was performed at Woodstock, Ill., on June 19th, 1929. The newlyweds left immediately on an auto trip through Wisconsin and Minnesota, and terminated at Minneapolis, where the groom registered at the University of Minnesota for the summer session.

The bride is a stranger to Humbird, Clark County, Wis. friends of Mr. Stallard. She is a registered nurse and is most highly regarded in her home city.

Mr. Stallard is a graduate of the Humbird High School, the Ripon College, and is taking supplementary work at the University of Minnesota. He has successfully taught in the high school at Merrill, Wis., and is now a member of the faculty of the Northwestern Military Academy at Lake Geneva, where he and his bride will make their future home.

Humbird friends join in extending best wishes for a pleasant journey through life to these fine young people.
