Maras, Sophia (12 OCT 1921)

A very pretty wedding of much interest to people was solemnized at Saint Mary of Angels Church in Chicago, Wednesday Oct. 12th, 1921, at five p.m., when Sophia, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Martin Maras, of Chicago, was united in marriage to Adam F. Szymanski, son of Mr. and Mrs. Stanley Szymanski of Thorp, Clark County, Wis. The bride wore a beautiful gown and wreath and veil. Miss Helen Szymanski, sister of the groom, was maid of honor and carried the bridal bouquet of white roses. The bride and groom were attended by Cecelia Maras, sister of the bride and Michael Szymanski and John Szymanski, brothers of the groom, and Miss Vina Delias, the bride's best friend. A bountiful supper was served to the assembled guests and a fine celebration of the event was held.

The bride is a most winsome and pleasing young lady for she combines all the qualities which go to make up a successful helpmate. The groom is one of the progressive and industrious young men of good sterling qualities and holds a very fine position at Chicago, where the young couple will make their home. They enjoy a large circle of friends, all of whom wish them much happiness and prosperity.

Those from far who attended the wedding were Mrs. Steve Szymanski and son John, mother and brother of the groom, of Thorp, and Michael F. Szymanski, brother of the groom, from Barstow, Calif.
