Pagel, Christina (8 Aug. 1911-17 June 2004)

MEDFORD - Christina C. Pagel, 92, of Medford, died Thursday, June 17, 2004, at Memorial Nursing & Rehab Center in Medford, where she had resided for the past seven years.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Our Saviour's Lutheran Church, town of Holway. Burial will be in the parish cemetery.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday at Hemer Funeral Home, and again on Monday at the church from 9 a.m. until time of services.

She was born Aug. 8, 1911, in the town of Greenwood to Andrew and Johanna (Weinberger) Hoffman. Christina and Otto Olson Sr. were married Feb. 23, 1929, at Waukegan, Ill. He died Sept. 14, 1968. She was married to Martin Pagel in Curtiss on Oct. 4, 1969. He died Aug. 21, 1972.

Prior to marriage, she worked as a housekeeper in Milwaukee for a period of time and after her marriage to Otto, the couple farmed in the town of Holway, until retirement in 1957.

She is survived by two sons, Otto (Karen) Olson Jr. of Medford and Norman (Carol) Olson of Curtiss; two step-daughters, Geraldine (Clayton) Kohlnhofer of Loyal and Delores (Norman) Blasel of Stetsonville; seven grandchildren, 12 step-grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren and nine step-great-grandchildren; and a sister, Johanna of Wyoming.
