Quammen, T. G. (? - 3 Feb 1929)

Another pioneer of northern Clark County has passed away. T. G. Quammen died at the home of his son Josler in Stanley on Feb. 3rd, 1929, after an illness of several months duration. Deceased was a native of Norway and came with his wife to America in 1879. They first settle near Madison in Dane Co., where they lived 18 years. From there they moved to a farm in the town of Worden, Clark County, Wis., where they resided for many years. Mrs. Quammen died last July. The funeral was held at the Stanley United Lutheran Church Thursday afternoon, interment following in the Roger Creek Cemetery. Six children survive. They are Mrs. Her Quammen, Mrs. Paul Anderson of Duluth, Mrs. C. O. Fredrickson of Superior, Josler Quammen of Stanley and Mrs. L. A. Qualheim and Mrs. Alfred Nerdrum of this neighborhood.
