Mueller, Fred J. (30 Jan 1878 - 30 May 1924)

Fred J. Mueller, son of Carl and Henrietta Mueller was born on Jan. 30, 1878 in the town of Sherman, Clark County, Wis.. He died on May 30, 1924 on the old homestead where he was born.

Fred grew up and helped his parents clear up the wild woods into a farm. From the age of 16 years he spent the winters in the lumber camps and the summers helping his parents.

In 1901 he became ailing, sought aid from Medical Physicians of the surrounding towns, but without success. In 1917 he went to Rochester, where he underwent an operation which apparently seemed successful until last year.

On Sunday morning May 25th he was laid on his sick bed with influenza and pneumonia, from which he passed away Friday morning.

Fred was of a quiet, home loving disposition. He was sincere in all his words and deeds.

He was laid to rest in the Salem Cemetery at Veefkind on June 2nd.

He leaves to mourn his loss, four brothers: George, August and John of Veefkind, Charles of Two Rivers, and one sister, Mrs. Charles Rahm of Loyal, his father and mother, brother Henry and sister Minnie preceded him in death.
