Machgan, Henrietta (25 NOV 1854 - 27 OCT 1925)

Mrs. Machgan died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. John Kronberger on Tuesday morning, Oct. 27th, 1925 at the age of 70 years and 11 months.

Mrs. Carl Machgan, nee Henrietta Strelow, was born Nov. 25th, 1854 at Coerlin, Germany, married to Carl Machgan in 1873. Eight children were born to this union, four of who preceded her in death.

In the year 1889 Mr. and Mrs. Machgan came to America, settling at St. Paul and later moving to Ft. Atkinson. While at the latter place the deceased joined the Lutheran Church of Ft. Atkinson and later became a member at Loyal, Clark County, Wis. She appreciated God's word and was a faithful wife and mother and will be missed in the home and by a large circle of friends.

Mr. Machgan died in 1913. For the past 10 years she has made her home with Mr. and Mrs. John Kronberger.

She is survived by four children and 14 grandchildren.

The funeral was held at the local Lutheran Church on Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock, Rev. Pohlman officiating. The body was taken to Ft. Atkinson Friday for interment.
