Gardiner, Floyd (15 Feb 1892 - 26 Mar 1918)

Mrs. Floyd Gardiner died at her home north of this village Tuesday morning March 26, 1918, at the age of 26 years, 1 mo. and 9 days.

Alvina Roehl was the youngest child of Mr. and Mrs. Christian Roehl(?), and was born in the town of Lake Mills, Wis. Feb. 15th 1892. There she lived until the age of ten years, when she came to Loyal with her parents.

She attended the country school and from there entered the Loyal High School.

On Oct. 7 1914, she was united in marriage to Floyd Gardiner, they making a home for themselves on their farm north west of this village.

The deceased was a kind and loving daughter and wife and a true friend. Her future was full of promise and we dare not ask why she was taken from us in her prime.

She leaves behind her husband to mourn her loss, her mother, two sisters Mrs. Fred Harnack of this city, Mrs. Joe Lintterno of Plevna, Mont. three brothers Otto of Greenwood, Louis of Ithaca, N.Y. and Ed of Wenatchee, Wash. Besides other relatives and a host of friends.

The funeral services were held at the Methodist Church on Saturday afternoon at 2 o’clock, Rev. Strevey officiating. She was laid to rest in the Loyal cemetery. The relatives have the sympathy of all in their bereavement.
