Marie/Mary Raabe, nee Julas or Jahlas, was born in 1861 in Germany. She was baptized in her infancy. After her confirmation she immigrated to this county and enter the holy estate of marriage with Fred Raabe in 1883 at Reesville, Wis. After a stay of nineteen years at Reesville, the family moved onto a farm in Clark County, Wis., near Loyal. Mother Raabe died on this farm last Wednesday, Sept. 29, 1926. She had been afflicted with heart disease for about five or six years, to this pneumonia was added the last three weeks of her life. She had attained the age of 65 years less 8 days.

She is survived by her husband, three daughters, six grandchildren, three brothers and two sisters are said to be still living in Germany.

Funeral services were held at the Lutheran Church of Loyal Sunday afternoon. Interment took place in the Lutheran Cemetery, Rev. Pohlman officiating.

The Tribune joins with the many friends and relatives of the deceased in extending sympathy to the bereaved family.
