Cook, Lorinda J. (8 Jan 1856 - 12 JUN 1927)

Mrs. Harry Cook, an old resident of Loyal, Clark County, Wis., died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Grover Mack, at Junction City, Oregon, June 12th, 1927, after an illness that extended over three years.

Lorinda J. Taylor was born at Iron Ridge, Dodge Co. on Jan. 8th, 1856.

In the year 1868 she came with her parents to Loyal and settled on the farm now owned by Frank Schultz.

She was united in marriage to Mr. Harry Cook on Oct. 3rd, 1883. To this union one daughter was born. Mrs. Cook spent most of her life in this vicinity living in and near Loyal, until April 1913 when they moved to Junction City, Oregon, where she died. She leaves to mourn her loss, besides her husband, one daughter, Mrs. Grover Mack, three grandchildren and other relatives.

The funeral service was held on June 14th with burial at Junction City.

Mrs. Cook was a faithful member of the Methodist Church and a sincere Christian, always ready at all times to help in any good cause. She was a kind and loving wife, mother and friend, and her memory will long be cherished by those who knew her best.

The Tribune joins with the friends here in extending sympathy to the bereaved relatives.
