Zank, Grace (Marriage - 25 June 1930)

Mr. Francis Suckow and Miss Grace Zank were quietly married at the Congregational parsonage, Wednesday, June 25, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.

Mr. Edward Zank, brother of the bride acted as best man and Miss Anna Scherer was bridesmaid.

After the ceremony, they drove to the home of the bride’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Wm. Zank in Pine Valley were a fine wedding dinner was served. Only the immediate relatives of the bride and groom were present. Many beautiful and useful presents were received. The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. Rudolph Suckow who live on Pleasant Ridge. He grew up on the home farm and is not only an excellent farmer, but also a skilled mechanic. He is a young man of high character in every way. The bride grew to womanhood at the farm home and is well trained in household duties of all kinds and has had considerable experience as a practical nurse. For some time past she has been employed at the Star Restaurant. Her courtesy and efficiency in every way have made her popular with all who know her.

The bride and groom left by auto for a trip to Chicago, Gary, Indiana, and other places. Miss Scherer accompanied them as far as Chicago where her parents live.

On their return the bride and groom will go to housekeeping on the groom’s father’s farm in the town of Eaton.
