Kuehl, Lorena (Marriage - *11 Aug. 1930) * Could be off.
Miss Lorena Kuehl and John Rude were married Monday at St. Paul by Rev. F. H. Benson, Congregational minister. The marriage was a complete surprise to their many friends who were not aware of the wedding until they returned Monday night.
Miss Kuehl, who is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. August Kuehl of Marshfield, is well known here, having been in charge of the Public Library for the past four years and also engaged as a part time teacher in the high school. She is a graduate of the Stevens Point Normal, a graduate of the Library Course at the University of Wisconsin and took special course at the University of Minnesota and the University of Chicago.
During her connection with the Library, Miss Kuehl has gained a host of friends and made the library one of the most up-to-date, popular and efficient in the entire state. Her patience and helpfulness to those seeking special information and literary guidance have been especially praised by the public of this community.
Mr. Rude who was born here and graduated from the Neillsville high school is known to everyone and numbers his friends by the hundreds. For a time he was an instructor at the Hill Military Academy at Portland, Ore., later engaged in salesmanship. At present he represents a number of school supply houses in the Wisconsin territory and has built up a profitable business in the educational line. The Press joins in extending its best wishes and congratulations to the couple.
