Anson Bissel was born; Dec. 6, 1845 in the State of New York. He came to Michigan at the age of 18 and worked some time there. Then he came to West Bend, Wis., from there coming to Clark County. He was married on Oct. 22, 1871 to Miss Arilla Jane Evans of Neillsville, by the Rev. The last year of his life he spent at home and was almost entirely helpless.

The funeral will be held Thursday at 2 o’clock at Lowe’s Funeral Home, Rev. G. W. Longenecker officiating.

Mr. Bissel was a man of quiet habits, friendly to everyone about him and all who knew him were his friends.
