Hoesly, Alice (Marriage - 24 June 1931)

On June 24 at 2:30 p.m. a pretty wedding took place at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Melchoir Hoesly, Sr., when their daughter, Alice, became the bride of Franklin D. Grap of this city. The ceremony was preformed by Rev. Motzkus before an archway in the front room which was decorated in pink and white roses.

The wedding march, "Midsummer Night’s Dream," was played by the bride’s sister, Miss Ellen Hoesly.

Miss Viola Grap of Milwaukee, sister of the bridegroom, was maid of honor and Melchoir Hoesly, Jr., brother of the bride was best man.

The bride was attired in a white satin dress and veil and carried a bouquet of pink roses and a mixed bouquet.

A wedding supper given by the bride’s parents was attended by 75 guests. It was held in a tent on the lawn of the Hoesly home. The tables were decorated with pink and with bouquets of roses. Roses also were pinned to the sides of the tent, forming a pretty effect.

The bride who graduated from the Neillsville high school in 1928, has been employed in the office of the Ford Garage, which is owned by her father. She is a young lady of pleasing personality and very efficient and capable in her business career.

Mr. Grap is the son of Mr. and Mrs. G. E. Grap in Globe and has made a host of friends here. For a time he was employed at the Ford Garage and at present is connected with the Deep Rock Oil Co. Mr. Grap and his bride have established their home at 158 So. Grand Ave.
