Pierce, Elsie H. (Marriage - 3 July 1931)

The Chauncey Owens home, 1213 West 20th St., in Sioux Falls, South Dakota was the scene of a charmingly appointed wedding, Friday, July 3, 1931, when Elsie H. Pierce of Neillsville, Wis., became the bride of Mr. Bert A. Hester of Sioux Falls, before a group of relatives and close friends, Rev. W. A. Block officiating.

The bride graduated from the Wisconsin Conservatory of Music in Milwaukee and has taught piano in various Wisconsin cities. The bridegroom taught school for several years and is now connected with the postal department in Sioux Falls.

The bride was attired in pale blue georgette and carried a bridal bouquet of sweetheart roses and baby’s breath. The groom wore dark blue. They were attended by Mr. and Mrs. Owens, close friends of the bride.

A dainty luncheon was served by the hostess -- a bowl of roses centered the table and pink and green predominated in the decorations.

The happy couple left immediately for Neillsville, Wis., to visit the bride’s parents. On their return they will make their home in Sioux Falls.
