Kempin, August F (May 26, 1865- Nov 11, 1940)

Funeral services were conducted Friday afternoon at Christ Lutheran Church for August F Kempin, 75, who died MOnday, Nov. 11.

The Rev. Arthur H Laesch officiated at the rites, and interment was made in the family lot in Yolo cemetery, near Chili.

Mr. Kempin was born in Germany May 26, 1865, and in 1884 he came to Wisconsin, making his home in Clark County, one mile west of Chili. In 1916 he retired from farming and moved to Chili, where he had since resided.

Surviving are his widow, Mrs. Bertha Kempin, Chili; two daughters, Mrs. Anna Krause, Granton, and Mrs. Aneta Yackel, Pamona, CA; one son, Afred Kempin, Marshfield; three grandchildren, Frank Kempin, Marshfield, and Marjorie and Evelyn Carrol Yackel, Pamona, CA; one brother, Charles Kempin, Neillsville; and one sister, Mrs. Tillie Schmitz, Marshfield.
