William Bandt Sr (9/12/1858 to 12/10/1942)

West Fremont--Funeral services were conducted Saturday at Ripon for William Bandt Sr., 84, a former resident of the Town of Fremont who died Thursday, Dec 10, at the home of his son-in-law and daughter, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Happe Sr., Ripon. Burial was made in Germania beside his wife, who preceded him in death.

William Bandt Sr. was born in Princeton, Green Lake County, Sep 12, 1858, was married in Germania, Nov. 29, 1881, and resided at Coloma for three years after his marriage.

Mr. and Mrs. Bandt moved to Germania at this time, and after 37 years, in 1920 came with their sons, William Jr. and Harvey, to a farm, 3 miles west of Chili, which they purchased and where William Bandt Jr. and family still reside.

In 1932 Mr. and Mrs. Bandt Sr. retired from farming and moved to Chili, where Mrs. Bandt died. After the death of his wife, Mr. Bandt continued to live in Chili until a few years ago, when he went to live with his son-in-law and daughter at Ripon.

On Nov 29, 1937, the Bandts celebrated their 56th wedding anniversary at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Happe sr, who, at that time, were residing in the Town of Fremont.

Surviving are two sons, William Jr., Town of Fremont, and the Rev. Harvey Bandt, Brillion; a daughter, Mrs. Arthur Happe Sr., Ripon; several grandchildren and...(article copy is cut off).
