Orson Vandenberg (Jun 12, 1917-Mar(?) 1942)

Neillsville--Orson Albert Vandenberg 25, Granton, died Friday evening at the Neillsville Hospital after being in poor health for several years.

Funeral rites will be conducted Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the Schiller Funeral Home, Neillsville, and burial will be made in the Neillsville cemetery. The Rev. G.W. Longenecker will be in charge of the services.

Mr. Vendenberg was born June 12, 1917, in York Center, the son of Mr. and Mrs. William Vandenberg. A shoemaker by trade, he had a shop in Greenwood for two years before moving to Granton.

Surviving besides his father of Fond du Lac County, are three brothers, Almond of Prescott; Chris, Neillsville; and Willie, St. Paul; and two sisters, Mrs. Marvin (Minnie) Eide, Neillsville; and Mrs. Robert (Pearl) Elmhorst, Granton.

His mother, Mrs. Jessie Vandenberg, died 16 years ago.
