Klimpke, Harold (18 May 1945 - 4 May 2004)

W/Flag ABBOTSFORD - Harold Klimpke, 58, of Abbotsford died Tuesday, May 4, 2004, as the result of a motorcycle accident.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Friday at St. Bernard's Catholic Church, Abbotsford. The Rev. Eric Linzmaier will officiate. Burial will be in Abbotsford Public Cemetery with full military honors. Pallbearers will be Ken Klimpke, Andy Johnston, Chad Podevels, Shawn Podevels, Dustin Zvolena, Travis Zvolena, Christopher Klimpke and Nicholas Klimpke.

Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday at Maurina Funeral Home, Abbotsford. There will be a parish rosary at 7 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Harold was born May 18, 1945, in Colby to Clarence Sr. and Winifred (Dawson) Klimpke. He graduated from Dor-Abby High School in 1963. He joined the U.S. Army in 1963. He was honorably discharged from the Army National Guard in 1968 and from the U.S. Army in 1969.

Harold and Kathy Weix were married Feb. 12, 1993. He operated Klimpke Electronics in Abbotsford and then drove truck. He worked for Hurd Millwork in Medford for 10 years, and for the past 11Ú2 years, he worked at Kolbe and Kolbe in Wausau in research and development. He had formerly spent a number of years as a member of the Abbotsford Fire Department.

Harold is survived by his wife, Kathy of Abbotsford; his children, Todd (Trudy) Klimpke of Prentice, Tim (Gayle) Klimpke of Westboro, Brian (Bridget) Klimpke of Marshfield, Henry Blazel of Abbotsford, Brenda (Brandy King) Klimpke of Marshfield, Brenda (Jim Kimball) Duvall of Abbotsford, Bonnie (John) Cherwinka of Wausau, and Rhonda (Tim) Schotz of Rothschild; 17 grandchildren, Hobie, Katelyn, Anna, Jessica, Dylan, Ciara, Savannah, Nicole, Colton, Jonathon, Christopher, Derek, Danielle, Casey, Samantha, Justin and Miranda; his mother, Winifred Klimpke of Spencer; three brothers Clem (Mary) Klimpke of Dorchester, Roger (Mary Wellsandt) Klimpke of Dorchester, and Kevin Klimpke of Greenwood; four sisters Connie (Dean) Smith of Spencer, Donna (Rick) Podevels of Colby, Nancy (Eric) Johnston of Greenwood, and Lori (Roger) Zvolena of Loyal; and his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Henry and Mary Weix of Abbotsford.

He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence Klimpke Sr.; two brothers, Ronald Klimpke and Dennis Klimpke; and three infant siblings.
