Koser, Emma (1919-1940)

Mrs. Emma Koser, 68, a former resident of Marshfield, died Sunday at her home in Chili, where she had lived since 1919.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday morning at 9:30 o’clock at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, the Rev. Arthur J. Crammer, Bakerville, officiating at the requiem mass. Interment will be made in Yolo cemetery.

Mrs. Koser, nee Emma Trudeau, was born in Necedah March 5, 1872, and came to Marshfield with her parents when still a small girl.

She was married Dec. 23, 1896, to Hallie Brooks after which they moved to a farm east of Chili. Mr. Brooks died in 1909 and after 10 years Mrs. Brooks moved to the Village of Chili. She married May 28, 1927, to Herman Koser, who died in August, 1939.

Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Frank (Muriel Brooks) Storm, Chili; Mrs. H.J. (Erma Brooks) McCormick, Milwaukee; and Miss Esther Brooks, teacher in King’s Business College in Raleigh, N.C.

Mrs. Koser was a member of the Royal Neighbors of America and of the Ladies Aid Society of St. Stephen’s Church.
