Happe, Wesley (-1938)

Word was received here last night of the death of Wesley Happe, 22, as a result of an automobile accident near Ripon.

Happe, a native of this community and a school teacher at Stanley for the past two years, joined his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Arthur Happe, at Ripon in June. The family formerly lived here.

The young man was a graduate of the Granton High School and of the teachers’ training school at Neillsville.

His brother, Oliver, who lives here, was called to Ripon last night and an uncle and aunt, Mr. and Mrs. Charles Lindow, left for Ripon this morning.

An Associated Press dispatch to the News-Herald today contained no additional information other than the fact that William Ruddy, 45, Ripon farmer, and his son Neal, were injured in the same crash.
