Stowe, Lewis E. (3 JUN 1845 - 25 Apr 1919)

Lewis Edgar Stowe was born at Grafton, Wooster Co., Mass. June 3, 1845 and died at his home in Beaver, Wis., April 25th 1919 at the age of 73 years 10 months and 22 days.

He was united in marriage to Lillian E. Thwing, Marquette Co. November 23, 1871

He moved to Beaver in January 1876 and bought the farm on which he lived until his death.

He leaves to mourn his loss besides his wife the following children, George, Earl, John, Rufus, Eltha Pratt of Beaver, Elbert of Loyal, Sam of Freemont, Michigan and Emma dying in infancy and Chester being drowned in June 1907. He also leaves three brothers James, Charles and William Stowe.

The funeral services were held at the Beaver church at 2 o’clock Tuesday afternoon April 29 and burial was in the Beaver Cemetery. Rev. E. E. Strevey of Loyal officiating.
