Altenburg, Henrietta L. (February 16, 1863-May 10, 1944)

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock Saturday at the Gilbertson funeral home at Granton for Miss Henrietta l. Altenburg, 81, who died at her home here last Wednesday afternoon, May 10, at 7:30 o’clock of complications.

The Rev. Ferguson, Colby, and the Rev F.A. Fahlgren of Neillsville officiated. Burial was made in the Lynn cemetery.

Miss Altenburg was born in Hazel Green February 17, 1863 and came here with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. John Altenburg, in 1901.

She was a member of the Methodist Church.

Surviving brothers are Albert, Hazel Green, and John of Lynn. Sisters are Mrs. James Trammeling, Marshfield, and Miss Emma of Lynn. One brother, Charles, of North Dakota died four years ago and one sister preceded her in death.

Pallbearers were Louis and Robert Helm, Clark Brooks, Arno Gotter, William Foote and Arthur Viergutz.

Flower carriers were Mrs. Chris Vandeberg, Mrs. Emer Robinson, Mrs. Albert Trimmeling and Mrs. Rueben Luchterhand.

Those from away who were here to attend the funeral were: Mrs. Delle Altenburg, San Bourne, N.D., and son Warner of Letchfield, N.D.; Mr. and Mrs. Albert Altenburg, Hazel Green; Mr. and Mrs. Russell Rahn, Amery, Wis.; Mr. and Mrs. Emer Robinson, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Rudolph Punke, Arpin; Mr. and Mrs. Rueben Luchterhand, Milladore; Mr. and Mrs. James Trimmeling and Mr. and Mrs. Lyman Trimmeling, Marshfield; Mrs. Everett Raine, Neillsville; and William Dix, Marshfield; Mrs. Anna Kadoo, Mr. Hauser and Mr. and Mrs. Mendke and son Clarence, Lindsey.
