Cypher, Helen M. (15 Dec. 1930 - 26 Oct. 2004)

RIB LAKE -Helen M. Dums-Cypher, 73, of 125 S. Lincoln St., Stetsonville, formerly of Rib Lake, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2004, at Memorial Health Center in Medford.

Mass of Christian burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, 2004, at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Rib Lake, with the Rev. Frederick Brost and Deacon Paul Ochodnicky officiating.

Interment will be in St. Ann's Cemetery in the town of Greenwood. Pallbearers will be Christopher Dums, Timothy Dums, Benjamin Dums, Jacob Dums, Clinton Dums, Neal Gabrys, Logan Dums and Blake Dums. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday at the Dallmann-Kniewel Funeral Home, Rib Lake, and on Saturday from 9:30 a.m. until service time at the church. There will be a Boxrucker-Berry American Legion Auxiliary service at 4 p.m. and a Christian Mothers rosary service followed by a parish prayer service conducted by Deacon Paul Ochodnicky, at 8 p.m., Friday, all at the funeral home.

Helen was born Dec. 15, 1930, in Delavan to Warren and Celia (nee Eichman) Woolsey. On July 23, 1949, she was united in marriage to Donald Dums at St. Ann's Catholic Church in the town of Greenwood. Together, she and Donald owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Greenwood for 40 years. He passed away Aug. 7, 1990. Helen later married Jerome Cypher at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church on Jan. 25, 1997.

Helen is survived by her husband of seven years, Jerome J. Cypher; eight sons, Bernard L. (Lavonne) Dums of Medford, Warren (Patti) Dums of Kewaskum, Marvin (Vicki) Dums of Rockford, Ill., Thomas (Connie) Dums of Rib Lake, Francis (Lori) Dums of Westboro, Andrew (Karen) Dums of Rib Lake, Peter (Barb) Dums of Wausau and Jeffrey (Lisa) Dums of Stetsonville; and three daughters, Cecelia (Doug) Holmberg of Wausau, Barbara (Rex) Ruesch of Westboro and Susan (Roger Schimada) Gabrys of Little Canada, Minn. She is further survived by three stepsons, Richard (Darlene) Cypher of Baraboo, Raymond (Patricia) Cypher of Dorchester and Jerry Cypher of Pennsylvania; one stepdaughter, Karen (Robert) Pocock of Ogema; her brother, Larry (Mary) Woolsey of Milwaukee; five sisters, Virginia Grossman of Delavan, Marjorie Rehbein of Stetsonville, Alice (Orville) Ballewski of Racine, Barbara (Vernon) Linneman of Springfield and Shirley (Howard) Ulrich of Medford; 27 grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; 13 stepgrandchildren; and two stepgreat-grandchildren. Also surviving are nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; first husband, Donald Dums; one great-grandson, Virgil Weiler; and one stepson, Patrick Cypher.
