WENDT-MILLS (Aug. 1932)

A pretty wedding of the early fall, was that of Miss Florence Delight MILLS, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. J. H. MILLS, West Sixth street, to Charles Albert WENDT, son of Mr. and Mrs. M. A. WENDT of Owen. The ceremony was performed at 3 o'clock Tuesday afternoon, at the home of the bride's parents before an improvised altar decorated in pink and white crepe paper and garden flowers. The Rev. Clarence E. WEED read the marriage service.

The bridal party entered the room to the strains of the "Bridal Chorus" from Lohengrin, played by Mrs. WEED. Preceding the ceremony Miss Miriam WEED sang "Somewhere I Know".

The bride was attired in Admiral blue flat crepe with blond accessories and carried an arm bouquet of yellow and pink roses and gladiolas. Mrs. William ERICKSON who attended as matron of honor, wore rose pink flat crepe and carried an arm bouquet of pink roses and gladiolas. Harold A. WENDT, brother of the groom, served as best man.

Following the wedding ceremony a reception was held at the bride's home and a 4:30 o'clock luncheon was served to about 40 guests. A color scheme of pink and white was carried out about the rooms and on the table. Out of town guests were: Mr. and Mrs. William A. WENDT, and daughters Bernice and Helen, and sons Raymond and Cecil, Mr. and Mrs. Edward WENDT, Mr. and Mrs. E. F. RUSCH and daughter, Evelyn, and son, Earl, all of Owen.

Mr. and Mrs. Floyd BUCHANAN and son, Verne, Curtiss; Mr. and Mrs. A.J. RUSCH, Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Ralph ANDERSON and daughter, Geraldine, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. H.O. DICKERT, Ypsilanti, MI; Mrs. Martha KOEPL and son, Raymond, Boyd; Mrs. Eliza NICHOLS, Loyal; and Mitchell HARNMAN, Stanley.

The bride is a graduate of McKinley high school class of '29, and the groom is employed by the Soo line.

Mr. and Mrs. WENDT left on an extended trip through northern Wisconsin, Minnesota, and Canada. They will reside in this city and will be at home to their friends after Sept. 15.
