-Keach, Frank A. (17 May 1927 - 15 Oct. 1998)

Frank A. Keach, 71, of Chadron, Neb. And formerly of Humbird, died on Thursday, Oct. 15, 1998, at his home in Chadron where he had resided for the past three months.

Frank was born on May 17, 1927, in Jackson County, Wis., to parents Clarence and Linda (Lane) Keach. He married Katherine "Kitty" Betz on July 12, 1952, in Black River Falls. Frank served in the U.S. Armed Forces and was a lifetime member of the VFW and American Legion. He belonged to the Humbird American Legion Post #320. He was preceded in death by his wife, Kitty, on May 9, 1998; by his son, Robert, in 1997; by his sister, Evelyn Galster and by his son-in-law, Tim Dwyer.

He is survived by his son, James Keach of Crete, Neb.; three daughters, Rose (Larry) Fankhauer and Amy (John) Coates, of Chadron, Neb., and Donna Dwyer of Bryan, Okla.; his mother-in-law Helen Betz of Black River Falls; one sister, Josephine Stiehl of Black River Falls; seven grandchildren and one great-grandchild; besides other relatives and friends.

Memorial services for Frank A. Keach will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Oct. 23, 1998 at Squaw Creek Lutheran Church, rural Black River Falls, with Reverend Calvin Thoreson officiating. Burial with military rites will take place in the church cemetery. Friends May call at the church on Friday from 1p.m. until the time of services.

A memorial has been established and donations May be sent to the First National Bank, 2nd and Main, Chadron, Neb., 69337.
