ENGAGEMENTS

Mr and Mrs. Fred Grottke, of Granton, announce the engagements of their daughters, Gertrude and Ruth. Miss Gertrude Grottke, who has been employed in Chicago for the past seven years, will marry Douglas Lloyd Crandall, pharmacist’s mate second class, U. S. Navy, whose home is at Granton. Mr. Crandall has recently returned from 20 months service overseas at Guadalcanal and Tulagi, and during his 30-day leave visited in Granton with his mother and with his financee in Chicago where he reported for reassignment. He has been in Navy service two and a half years.

Miss Ruth Grottke will become the bride of Cpl. Harold Geldernick, Marshfield. Cpl. Geldernick has been stationed in Iran since July, 1943, and his financee is employed in Chicago.
