Last Friday afternoon at 2:30 o’clock Miss Irene Nielsen, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Richard E. Nielsen, of Withee, became the bride of Gordon Gehrt, son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Gehrt, of Neillsville, in a wedding ceremony held in the Danish Lutheran Church at Withee, with the Rev. L. C. Bungaard officiating.

Attendants were the bride’s sister, Miss Virginia Nielsen, as maid of honor; the bride’s cousin, Miss Jean Crosson, bridesmaid; William Crosson, best man; and Wallace Lindow, Chili, usher.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, wore a white taffeta and net wedding gown and a finger-tip veil of illusion caught to a crown of white daisies. She carried an arm bouquet of yellow roses and white carnations. Her sister was attired in a frock of moss, pink taffeta and net and Miss Crosson wore a similar dress of chiffon and net. They carried pink carnations.

Another sister of the bride, Miss Mary Nielson, sang "I Love You Truly" and "Love for God," with Mrs. Marie Ammentrop as organ accompanist.

Following the double ring ceremony a reception was held in the Danish Assembly Hall. Out-of-town guests were Mr. and Mrs. Viggo Rasmussen, Spooner; Mr. and Mrs. Allen B. Kuhlman and children, Lake Bluff, Ill.; Mr. and Mrs. One Rasmussen and children, Chippewa Falls; Mrs. Emma Gertz, Kaukauna.

Mr and Mrs. Gehrt will reside in Neillsville.
