Schoenherr, Herman (31 Oct. 1843 - 20 Sept. 1931)

Herman Schoenherr passed away at the home of his daughter Mrs. Frank J. Zickert in the town of Weston, Sunday evening, Sept. 20, aged 87 years, 10 months, and 19 days.

Mr. Schoenherr was born in Germany Oct. 31, 1843. He was married in Germany to Louise Kuehn and they came to America in 1870 and settled in the town of Schield, Dodge County, which was their home until three years ago last February he and his wife came to Clark County to make their home with their daughter. His wife died in May 1930.

During the few years Mr. Schoenherr lived here he did not make a wide acquaintance because of his advanced age. He was known to be a man of high character and one who had led a useful life.

He is survived by his daughter, Mrs. Zickert, two sons, Frank Schoenherr and Herman Schoenherr both living in Dodge County. He leaves also 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

The funeral will be held Thursday afternoon at 1 o’clock at the home and 1:30 at the Norwegian Lutheran Church in Neillsville, Rev. Carl Koehler officiating.
