Gotter, Elsie (Marriage - 18 Oct. 1931)

Mr. Alvin Garber and Elsie Gotter were united in marriage at 4 o’clock Sunday afternoon, Oct. 18, at the Zion Lutheran parsonage in the town of Grant, Rev. J. G. Buth performing the ceremony.

The bride and groom were attended by Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Breseman and Mr. and Mrs. E. R. Anding. The bride is a sister to Mr. Breseman and Mrs. Anding.

The bride wore a dress of pea green stain and carried a bouquet of roses and lilies of the valley. Mrs. Breseman wore a dress of brown chiffon, and Mrs. Anding one of black lace.

At six o’clock p.m. a bountiful wedding dinner was served at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. E. Breseman at which there were 60 guests present. The rooms were decorated in green and white.

On Wednesday preceding the wedding, Granton friends of the bride gave her a linen shower, and on Friday of that week a miscellaneous shower was given in her honor at the home of her aunt, Mrs. Emma Lautenbach; on Thursday, Mrs. Anding gave a shower at her home in Altoona. At all of these gatherings many useful and beautiful gifts were presented.

The bride has lived all her life at Granton and vicinity and has a wide circle of admiring friends. The groom has been a resident of Humbird for some time and is a man of excellent reputation in every way.

After a wedding trip to Milwaukee and other points the bride and groom will make their home in Granton.

The Press extends congratulations and hearty good wishes.
