SPIEGELBERG-GROTTKE

Of interest to persons in this vicinity is an announcement of the marriage of Miss Edith Marcella GROTTKE, daughter or Mr. and Mrs. William GROTTKE, Granton, to Robert C. SPIEGELBERG, bkr., 2nd class, USN, son of Otto SPIEGELBERG, Peoria, IL, a former resident of Chili. The Rev. E.H. SCHULENBERG, pastor of the Evangelical Lutheran Church of Lindenwood, IL, performed the single ring ceremony April 26 at 4:30 p.m. at the Carl PUSHECK home, Fairdale, IL.

The bride was attired in a gown of white brocaded satin fashioned with a long bodice and full skirt ending in a court train. Seed pearls outlined the sweetheart neckline and the long sleeves were pointed at the srists. Her finger-tip veil was caught to a headdress of orange blossoms and she carried a bouquet of white roses, sweet peas and forget-me-nots.

The bride's sister, Miss Martha GROTTKE, was maid of honor and wore a formal frock of blue sheer. Carnation were tucked in her hair and she had a corsage of mixed spring flowers pinned to her shoulder. Miss Harriet RIPPENTROP, as bridesmaid wore a pink sheer dress. Her corsage was identical to the maid of honor's and she, too, wore carnations in her hair. Both wore lockets, gifts of the bride, as jewelry.
